These are not really fonts
X has no bold or italic. What this produces are different Unicode characters that look styled โ โ๐ฎโ is a mathematical symbol, not a bold โaโ. That works almost everywhere, with trade-offs worth knowing:
- They cost more characters. Each styled letter counts as 2 on X, shown on every row above.
- Screen readers may struggle. Some read each letter out by its symbol name; others skip it.
- Search will not find them. A styled word does not match the same word typed normally.
Use them for a word or two of emphasis, not a whole post. Only AโZ, aโz and (for some styles) 0โ9 change; everything else is left as typed.
